Similarities[]
Vincent Grey and Cole Sear share a few similarities that can be noticed just from the one scene Vincent has.
Diagnosis[]
If you listen to Vincent in the bathroom, he lists Malcom's diagnosis for him, which is the same as what's written on Malcolm's clipboard as he watches Cole leave his home before going to the church.
Seeing Ghosts[]
Vincent's very first line goes as such, "Do you know why you're afraid when you are alone? I do." As well as calling himself "Cursed". Hinting that he too saw ghosts.
White Lock of Hair[]
If you look at Vincent's hair, you'll notice a white lock of hair prominent on the right side of his head. Cole also has a white lock of hair on the back right side of his head. This could be a trait of someone who can see ghosts.
Scratches[]
When Vincent turns around to grab the gun, you can see two sets of scratches on his back that look relatively fresh. Later on in the movie Cole gets locked in a closet during a birthday party where he receives similar scratches. This may mean that Vincent and Cole came in contact with the same ghost.
